What is an Andrew Home?
After people learn that I work for Andrew Homes, I’ve heard, "We live next to an Andrew Home" or "You’re building an Andrew Home in our neighborhood". That got me thinking—what is an Andrew Home? Our computer specialist made an interesting comment that helped me form an answer. He was describing what his family does over the holidays and mentioned that they always go to his sister’s in Illinois "because they have a home like an Andrew Home". I asked him to expand on that. Words and phrases like "stylish", "open and inviting", and "large enough for everyone to be comfortable" were used. What a compliment to our homes…and the people who design and build them.
We see another example of this branding when we look through the Real Estate section of the newspaper. Agents are listing our homes as "2-story Andrew Home" or "ranch style Andrew Home". They believe and we agree that a home built by Andrew Homes is one that potential buyers will favor.
We take great pride in the fact that people are identifying our homes and classifying them in such a positive way. It is important to us that we maintain not only the relationship with the current homeowners, but that the appearance and mechanicals of each home live up to the high standards we originally set forth during construction. We have a 1-year warranty on the homes we build, "but we really feel it’s our home forever," builder Len Backus points out. Keeping track of second and third owners of homes we’ve built and adding their names to our computer database is helpful in continuing that relationship. We encourage them to call with technical questions for as long as they own the home.
